Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Aberle Eye Care a proud provider of vision care products and services in Canandaigua.

Dr. Paul Harvey

Optometrist

Dr. Paul Harvey has served the Canandaigua and Finger Lakes Region through his practice at Aberle Eye Care since 1993. He attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate, earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and his Fellowship from the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. Dr. Harvey is board certified in vision development and therapy, and offers functional and preventative vision care services. Since 2012, Dr. Harvey has been a Clinical Director for Special Olympics New York (SONY) Opening Eyes Vision Screenings. He and the team at Aberle Eye Care serve special needs individuals.

A specialist in developmental vision, pediatric eye care, optometric vision therapy and vision rehabilitation, Dr. Harvey is also the only optometrist in the area who offers Wavefront Corneal Molding, a non-surgical alternative to vision correction. He can address urgent vision care needs such as removal of foreign bodies, pink eye and conjunctivitis, and is certified to diagnose and treat eye conditions such as glaucoma, ocular allergies, keratitis sicca (dry eye), and eye infections.

Dr. Harvey is a member of the American Optometric Association, New York State Optometric Association, Rochester Optometric Society, Canandaigua Rotary Club, Canandaigua Merchants Association, and the Downtown Canandaigua Business Improvement District.


Dr. Stephanie Su

Optometrist

Dr. Stephanie Su has over 19 years of comprehensive patient care experience. As a researcher and clinical investigator, she has brought new contact lens designs through the FDA process and presented optometric research nationally. A graduate of The New England College of Optometry and The State University of New York at Geneseo.

Dr. Su joined Aberle Eye Care in 2016. A Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, she specializes in all contact lens prescribing including orthokeratology and scleral lens fitting for severe dry eye patients and treating medical eye conditions and emergencies. She has received numerous awards including The Young Optometrist of the Year in 2010 and published multiple optometric research papers.


Dr. Gabrielle Murphey

Optometrist

Dr. Gabrielle Murphey is a Western New York native (Go Bills!) who grew up in Canandaigua and spent much of her childhood boating on Canandaigua and Keuka Lake. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Biochemistry from SUNY Brockport in 2017, and went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2021. During Optometry school, Dr. Murphey volunteered with the Red Cross at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center and served as an Optics tutor for fellow students. She completed diverse externships in primary eye care at Tripler Army Medical Center, specialty contact lenses at a private practice in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and ocular disease at the Batavia VA Medical Center.

Following graduation, Dr. Murphey commissioned as a Captain in the U.S. Army and completed officer training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and Fort Sam Houston, Texas. She was then stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia, where she served for three years as Chief of Optometry at Winn Army Community Hospital, providing comprehensive care for the 3rd Infantry Division and emergency on-call services for the hospital. After living and practicing in Savannah, GA for several years, Dr. Murphey is excited to return back to the Finger Lakes and serve the community she proudly calls home.

Outside of the office, Dr. Murphey enjoys paddleboarding, hiking, riding motorcycles, and playing Ultimate frisbee. She was a co-founder of the Savannah Litas women’s motorcycle collective and previously served as the VP of Outreach for Savannah Ultimate. She shares her adventures with her mini schnauzer, Lola, and her supportive husband, Kevin—both of whom love paddleboarding, hiking, biking, and playing frisbee alongside her.

 


Alicia

Vision Therapist

Alicia Roland is an occupational therapist and vision therapist at Aberle Eye Care. She earned her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Keuka College in 2011 and has over 15 years of experience working with children, adults, and families.

Alicia began her career in pediatric settings, including Mary Cariola and Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES, where she supported individuals with a wide range of developmental, learning, and sensory needs. In 2020, she joined Aberle Eye Care and discovered a passion for vision therapy. She enjoys helping clients strengthen their visual skills so they can more fully participate in school, sports, work, and everyday activities they enjoy.

In addition to her clinical work, Alicia serves as an adjunct professor in the Occupational Therapy program at Keuka College. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and baking, reading, gardening, spending time outdoors, and singing on the worship team at her church. She lives with her husband, Dave, and their two sons.

A lifelong learner, Alicia is especially interested in vision therapy, pediatrics, health and wellness, concussion rehabilitation, and nutrition. She brings a holistic perspective to therapy, emphasizing client-centered care and collaboration with families to support success across the lifespan.


Olivia

Licensed Optician and Manager

With over ten years of experience in the optical field, Olivia is a dedicated professional who enjoys helping patients select frames that reflect their unique personality while meeting their visual and lifestyle needs. Outside the office, Olivia stays busy with her two young boys and loves making lasting memories on family trips to Universal Studios.


Cassie

Licensed Optician

Cassie has worked in eye care for over thirteen years and is passionate about providing high-quality, personalized patient care. Cassie takes pride in educating patients about their lens options and ensuring every pair of glasses feels just right. Outside of the office, her two kids keep her busy and on the go.


Heather

Reception and Billing

Heather has been with Aberle Eye Care for over five years and plays a key role at the front desk and in billing. She is known for keeping the office running smoothly and helping patients feel welcomed and supported. Outside of work, Heather is a proud mom of two girls and enjoys lifting heavy weights in her free time.


Hannah

Optometric Technician

Hannah joined the practice in 2022 as an optometric technician and has since cross-trained to become proficient as a patient care representative and apprentice optician. She enjoys supporting patients throughout their visit and contributing to a seamless office experience. Outside of work, Hannah loves spending time with her mini dachshund.


Abbie

Optometric Technician

Abbie joined the Aberle team last year and enjoys helping patients feel comfortable, cared for, and at ease during their visit. She is dedicated to creating a welcoming experience for every patient. Outside of work, Abbie loves baking and spending quality time with her three dogs.
