Contact Lenses

Contact lenses are a great alternative to wearing glasses, and different lenses offer different levels of flexibility based on your lifestyle and lens needs.

If you choose to wear contacts, it is very important that the lenses fit properly and comfortably, and that you understand contact lens safety and hygiene. A contact lens exam at Aberle Eye Care will include both a comprehensive eye exam and a contact lens consultation and measurement to determine the proper lens fit.

Our Doctors have significant experience in fitting contact lenses, even for patients who may have been told they are unable to wear contacts. Specialty contacts such as scleral lenses and ortho-keratology lenses are available for patients with dry eyes, severe astigmatism, or who are otherwise “hard to fit.”

There are many lens options, so during your contact lens consultation, we will explore your lifestyle and health considerations that will help us identify the type of lenses that would suit you best.

We offer daily disposables, monthly disposables, soft lenses, rigid gas permeable lenses, multifocal, toric, and even color lenses.

One size does not fit all, so our Doctors will take important measurements to properly fit your contact lenses. Contacts that do not fit properly can cause discomfort or blurry vision, or even damage your eyes. We’ll measure your corneal curvature, pupil size, and iris size, and also evaluate your eyes’ tear film before prescribing the perfect contact lens for you.

Once we’ve determined the best lenses for you, we’ll conduct a fitting to ensure you walk away with lenses that feel and work the best. We’ll also provide lens care and hygiene instructions to ensure your eyes stay healthy and your vision is the best it can be.
